I have excluded saying the people because during this latest siege on Jerusalem, the people proved to be worthy of calling themselves patriots. Without a formal leadership to guide them, they defended Al Aqsa tooth and nail – regardless of whether they were religious Palestinians or not. Devout Muslims, secular and Christian Palestinians banded together to defend the holy site, and by association, the city at large. The escorting police negotiated with Aisawiya`s mayor after which the keys were returned on condition that the truck would get out of the suburb and take its load away with it.
|Jerusalem Municipality Planning To Level 150 Homes In Old City||Saed Bannoura - JCSER/IMEMC - The Jerusalem municipality is planning to destroy 150 homes, housing nearly 1000 Palestinians, in different Arab neighborhoods in East Jerusalem. A total of 61 homes were destroyed level since the beginning of the year in addition to other agricultural and industrial structures.
