Appeal to UNESCO: Your intervention is needed in the plan to build a tourist compound next to the walls of the Old City of JerusalemEmek Shaveh - Press release - This tourism compound, at the Givati Parking Lot, constitutes a significant change to the city’s character and preservation. In our opinion, the declaration of the Old City of Jerusalem as an endangered world heritage site requires UNESCO’s involvement in the matter of the planned construction.-rh 26/7/2012
Jerusalem municipality asks IDF to take responsibility for residents who live east of the separation fenceChaim Levinson and Nir Hasson - Haaretz - The Palestinian Authority is not allowed to operate in these areas, but the Israeli authorities also stay away due to security fears. [all this in spite of being in the "annexed" (not "occupied") East Jerusalem considered part of `United Jerusalem-Eternal Capital of Israel.` bz]24/7/2012

Military college at a sensitive spot in East JerusalemHagit Ofran - Peace Now Settlement Watch - I believe that one can’t think of Mount of Olives as real estate. It is important for the three monotheistic religions. On top of all this holiness, Mt. of Olives is under dispute between us and the Palestinians, and we will have to solve this dispute only through an agreement. Bringing the Military Academy to this spot is quite insensitive and if I may add, not so smart, of our Government. 3/7/2012
