The case against him was unexpectedly reopened in 2015, and last month, the Jerusalem Magistrate`s court ordered that he turn himself in by mid-October after sentencing him to four months in prison, which followed warnings by Israeli intelligence that if he didn`t turn himself in, he would be detained and placed under administrative detention. He had been stopped and detained by Israeli police five times over the past two weeks and not so long ago spent a year in Israel`s Ktziot prison on charges of “incitement” for posting on Facebook.
