| A Call for Solidarity from Kufr Aqab | | IMEMCnews - Six residential buildings in the Kufr Aqab neighbourhood,
in Jerusalem, are currently facing demolition orders by Israeli
authorities. The neighbourhood is the northernmost part of Jerusalem,
but is separated from the rest of Jerusalem by the Apartheid Wall.
Most of the residents have Jerusalem IDs allowing them to enter the
city, which sets them apart from most of the Palestinians living in
the West Bank.-rh | 29/11/2017 |

"The Israeli Civil Administration offered the residents of Jabal al-Baba material temptations to transfer to them the so-called “Jerusalem Gate” on the land of Abu Dis residents, but they were refused. The last attempt was about a month ago, when Israeli forces demolished four houses and tried to get signatures from the population, to find an alternative for them. But, the citizens refused, and, so, Israeli authorities began issuing eviction orders and deportations for the entire community." - id

| A LIFESTYLE OF SEGREGATION | | nadiaharhash.com - As I struggled reaching the school , I finally
found a building in the middle of what seemed like a graveyard . They
are trying to make it look like a livable place by putting attractive
colors and friendly drawings, thought to myself with a mockery
attitude . How can people survive such a hole of obvious segregation.
A few meters up is the great walk through of the best part of
jerusalem, and yet, the people of the place live as if they are a part
of an interactive scene that tourists can look at from above. | 8/11/2017 |

| ‘Creeping Annexation’: Why Israel Shelved the ‘Greater Jerusalem Law’ | | Ramzy Baroud - CounterPunch - “The Bill proposed to expand the municipal
boundaries of Jerusalem to include major illegal Jewish settlements in the West
Bank, including Ma’aleh Adumim and the Gush Etzion settlement cluster.
Moreover, it endeavored to bring 150,000 Jewish settlers into Jerusalem as
eligible voters, who would have naturally tipped the political scene more to the
right. Concurrently, the law would have further demoted the status of 100,000
Palestinians, who would find themselves in a political gray area” [ry] | 13/11/2017 |

| Soldiers invade residential towers slated for demolition | | IMEMC - Dozens of Israeli Army Corps of Engineers as well as engineers of
the Jerusalem City Council and Border Police troops invaded the al-
Matar neighborhood of East Jerusalem and broke into apartments in
residential towers. The soldiers took personal information from the
residents, informed them that the towers were slated for demolition
because of “proximity to the Annexation Wall,” and “being built
without permits“, and made measurements in preparation for the
demolition. Altogether, six residential buildings of approximately
140 apartments are to be destroyed, as well as a local mosque.
