"Some 70 percent of Gaza`s two million population are descendants of

Nakba. Protesters in Gaza gathered in five different spots along the
border, originally positioned about 700 metres away from the fence."

"As many as 30,000 arrived early in the day at tent encampments on
Gaza’s side of the fence to stage what was billed as the start of a
peaceful, six-week sit-in. They were protesting against Israel’s
longstanding blockade of the territory and in support of their
claims to return to homes in what is now Israel." ca | 31/3/2018 |

| UN leader calls for investigation into Gaza border clashes | | Associated Press -
"The council failed to agree on any action or joint message after an
emergency meeting Friday evening. Kuwait convened it hours after the
bloodiest day in Gaza since the 2014 cross-border war between Israel
and Hamas, the Islamic militant group that rules the coastal strip.
The council had been due to meet behind closed doors. But after it
became clear the 15-member body would be unable to agree on a
statement on the situation, diplomats said Kuwait requested the
meeting be held publicly." ca

| Palestine Marathon puts spotlight on right of movement | | Anne Paq -
Al-Jazeera
"Bethlehem, Palestine - Thousands of people have taken part in the
Palestine Marathon, an annual event in the Bethlehem area of West
Bank.
Like in previous years, the marathon on Friday - the event`s sixth
edition - attracted people from all over the West Bank and
Jerusalem, as well as abroad.
For many foreigners, the event represents an opportunity to visit
Palestine for the first time and witness the conditions Palestinians
are living in. "This is fantastic feeling today; to be here and to
stand with Palestinians," said Deena, a 29-year-old from England."

| IDF demands `excessive` transparency from rights groups | | Shlomi Eldar -
Al-Monitor
"Recently, the Civil Administration in the West Bank sent a warning
to human rights groups in Israel, demanding that they follow its
latest instructions to the letter when requesting exit permits for
Palestinians from the occupied territories to participate in joint
activities involving Palestinians and Israelis. The groups have been
ordered to provide detailed information about the Palestinians for
whom they request permits to enter Israel, as well as information on
the sources of the groups’ funding, the training of their activists
and the selection criteria for the positions they fill in the
territories. They are also expected to provide details about their
organizations, including the phone numbers of their
members...Elhanan places the blame on Defense Minister Avigdor
Liberman. He said that his group’s activities to promote peace
challenge Liberman’s message to the public that there is no partner
for peace," ca

| Israel`s military checkpoints: `We live a life of injustice` A photo essay by Activestills | | Activestills - Al Jazeera - Every morning, before dawn, tens of
thousands of Palestinian workers cross Israeli military checkpoints on
their way to their workplaces, in Israeli and Palestinian cities
beyond the Green Line.Hailing from across the occupied West Bank,
labourers queue before the checkpoints open, in order to reach their
workplaces on time. For many, this means getting up and leaving home
at the dead of night. About 70,000 Palestinians with Israeli work
permits make this daily commute. They work beyond the Green Line due
to the high unemployment rate in the Palestinian territories – a
byproduct of the 50-year Israeli occupation.-rh | 14/3/2018 |

| No way out: Women trapped in Gaza away from their homes and partners | | B’Tselem - Imagine paying a visit to relatives in another country and getting

Far from your home and life, without knowing how long it will be until you can
go back. That is the daily reality of hundreds of women who are trapped in
the Gaza Strip. Their lives are on hold and they have no idea when, if at all,
they can be reunited with their loved ones [ry] | 12/3/2018 |
