a flotilla carrying protesters injured in the weeks-long
demonstrations on the Gaza border, who had tried to get to reach
Limassol, Cyprus en route to treatment in Turkish hospitals. They
had set off after a mass ceremony at the port of Gaza and before
being surrounded by Israeli warships did manage to get further into
the sea than any vessel setting off from Gaza in the past decade.
