| Threats against Al-Aqsa and Israel’s Judaisation policy | | Abdel Nasser Issa - Middle East Monitor - The Israeli occupation
authorities expelled all of the Muslim worshippers and closed the
doors of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem between the sunset
prayer on 17 August and the dawn prayer the following day. This was
under the pretext of searching for weapons after they had shot martyr
Ahmed Mahameed from Umm Al-Fahm outside the mosque walls, when he was
accused of trying to stab an Israeli policeman.-rh | 22/8/2018 |

| Life and Death in Gaza’s "Access Restricted Areas" | | Gisha - Contrary to the illusion held by many that Israel’s presence
in the Gaza Strip ended with the implementation of the Disengagement
Plan in 2005, to this day Israel continues to exercise control over
nearly every aspect of life in Gaza, including through its control
over movement and access. Importantly, it continues to enforce
restrictions on access to areas deep inside the Strip and in Gaza’s
territorial waters, commonly referred to as the “Access Restricted
Areas” (ARAs). Israel employs violent enforcement measures against
what it perceives as breaches of its directives in the ARAs,
including the use of live fire against Palestinian civilians,
fishermen, herders and farmers. Over the past decade, long before
the recent wave of protests, Israel’s actions in the ARAs have
resulted in the death and injury of Palestinians, extensive damage
to property and loss of livelihoods. [ak] | 7/8/2018 |

| Israel Mum on Gaza Ceasefire Decision After Cabinet Meeting | | Jason Ditz - AntiWar - "Israeli officials do, however, seem keen to demand
Hamas fulfill the obligations that are supposed to kickstart this deal, including
ending all protests at the border, and all incendiary balloon flights. Israel maybe
open to slight easing of the blockade for all of that, but it’s not clear they’ll allow
it to progress to a bigger deal ending the blockade outright" [ry] | 6/8/2018 |

an email. Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by Israel, the
U.S. and European Union...The aim of Al-Arouri’s visit is “to achieve
an internal reconciliation and end the unfair Israeli siege that has
been imposed on the Gaza Strip for 12 years,” Barhoum said." ca
