He told MEE he was going to visit his mother in the hospital but expressed frustration at the confusing information circulating about checkpoint closures.
"The Israelis tell us all checkpoints are closed. They write it everywhere on the internet," Ruzzi told MEE.
Palestinian driver Hamza Abu Raya mentioned as he proceeded towards the gates of the checkpoint that he only knew of Qalandiya being open from past years` experience.
"I live in Jerusalem. We know there are closures," Abu Raya told MEE. "All Arab roads are open, only Jewish [Israeli] roads are closed."

"The international human rights group warned that “several of these
incidents appear to involve deliberate and wilful killing of unarmed
civilians and may amount to war crimes”, and also renewed its call for
an arms embargo to be imposed on Israel.“Between 10pm on Monday 17
September and 8pm on Tuesday 18 September,” Amnesty stated, “Israeli
forces killed four Palestinian men in the Gaza Strip using live
ammunition. Within the same period, two more died as a result of the
actions of Israeli forces in the West Bank, one after being beaten
during the process of arrest and another shot dead in a busy street in

| Two Palestinians killed in Gaza Strip air strike | | Ma`an - Two Palestinians were killed after being targeted by an
Israeli airstrike in east of Khan Younis in the southern besieged
Gaza Strip. Ashraf al-Qidra of the The Palestinian Ministry of
Health in Gaza confirmed that the two, pronounced dead at Nasser
Hospital, were Ibrahim al-Najjar and Muhammad Khader from Khan
Younis. Military sources quoted in the Israeli asserted that the two
were killed because they approached the security border fence in
southern Gaza and placed a "suspicious object" near fence. Unlike
other cases, it was not asserted that they had tried to cross the fence.
