We are Israelis and Palestinians marching together, to demand justice and an end to the violence of occupation. | | Combatants for Peace - On the 1st January, Harun Abu Aram was shot
and paralyzed by Israeli forces in the Palestinian village of al-
Rakiz. Abu Aram was one of several villagers rebuilding their
previously demolished home, when soldiers arrived and ordered them
to stop, claiming it was illegal despite the land being privately
owned. In a usual tactic designed to deprive residents of Area C of
construction tools, the soldiers began to drag away the power
generator, which Abu Aram, who was unarmed, resisted. He was shot in
the neck with live ammunition.Combatants for Peace are one of the
groups demonstrating every Friday in the South Hebron Hills. We are
Israelis and Palestinians marching together, to demand justice for
Harun and his family, and an end to the violence of occupation. [ak] | 28/1/2021 |

NGOs call on Biden to rescind Trump`s measures against the International Criminal Court | | International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) - Mr. President,
we call on you to demonstrate your commitment to human rights and
the international legal order by fully rescinding your predecessor’s
Executive Order 13928, blocking the property of "Persons Associated
with the International Criminal Court” and the Executive Order of
June 11, 2020, which authorized "sanctions against persons engaged
in activities before an independent judicial body – the ICC – as
well as civil and criminal penalties against those who provide
support to such". To allow these to remain in effect will call into
question the US` stated commitment to human rights, the rule of law
and the international legal order.[ak]
The ICC continues to anchor the fight against impunity at the
international level, and is a key agent for holding those alleged to
bear the greatest responsibility for core international crimes to
account before impartial, independent justice and with fair trial
guarantees. | 28/1/2021 |

The tenders published are in addition to the 780 housing units approved this week in the settlements, the opening of the tender for thousands of units on Givat Hamatos and the billions’ of shekels investments in roads and infrastructure that will double the number of settlers.” [This detailed Settlement Watch article comes with a map-bz] | 21/1/2021 |

Anne Suciu and PHR Atty. Tamir Blank.

15 Israeli, Palestinian and international health and human rights organizations: Israel must provide necessary vaccines to Palestinian health care systems. | | B`Tselem - Press Release - As the Israeli healthcare system began the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines to the Israeli public, we, the undersigned organizations, urge the Israeli authorities to live up to their legal obligations and ensure that quality vaccines be provided to Palestinians living under Israeli occupation and control in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as well. (...) Israel must ensure that the vaccines delivered to Palestinians in the OPT, also meet the approvals of the Israeli health system, and that these vaccines be purchased and delivered as soon as possible. 60 High School Seniors: We Won`t be Soldiers of the Israeli Occupation! | | Daniel, Refuser Solidarity Network - Hello, my name is Daniel. I`m
18 year old from Tel Aviv and I`m part of a new group of teens,
school seniors and youth refusers. We`re called the Shministim
Letter - 60 teens and youth aged 16-21 signed the statement we sent
to Israeli Prime Minister, calling for refusal to enlist to the
Israeli military. `Shministim’, literally meaning 12th graders, is a
movement of high school seniors who publicly refuse to serve in the
Israeli military as a conscientious objection to the occupation and
oppression of Palestinians. Over the last year, we’ve gotten
together to learn about injustices and abuse that are an inherent
part of the military regime. Together, we decided that right now, as
Israel enters another election and Biden enters the white house, is
the time to act. We demand justice, and justice demands solidarity
and joint struggle.
For the first time, our Declaration of Refusers focus on the Nakba
(The destruction and exodus of Palestinian in 1948) alongside the
1967 occupation as a reason why we refuse. To quote from our letter
itself, we believe that by drafting to the Israeli military :“We are
ordered to put on the bloodstained military uniform and preserve the
legacy of the Nakba.” [ak] | 7/1/2021 |
