Christian Zionists help settler-farmers take over Palestinian lands | | Allison Deger - Mondoweiss - " A report published the Israeli NGO Kerem Navot […] explains `that behind the widespread takeover of land throughout the West Bank for agricultural purposes stands a distinctive territorial rationale: in comparison with the construction of buildings in the West Bank settlements, staking a claim to agricultural areas requires few resources and little time.` […] Christian Zionist volunteers are making possible the rapid expansion of settler-controlled fields. Hayoval, an organization founded by the Wallers, a messianic American family […] brings in hundreds to reinforce outposts in the South Hebron Hills" | 28/10/2013 |

Palestinian shepherds who were pasturing their sheep in the Ein al-

Resource: Unlawful discrimination: Two boys, two laws | | +972 -
"Technically speaking, Israeli military law applies to all persons in the West Bank, whether they be Palestinian or Israeli, but in practice civilian law is applied to the settlers, whereas military law, with far fewer rights and protections, is reserved for Palestinians, giving rise to a situation of unlawful discrimination. The following report, prepared by Military Court Watch, showcases the Israeli occupation’s legal discrimination, as it affects Palestinian and Israeli settler children." ca

Negligence of the Israeli soldiers exposes Palestinian children at risk on the way to school, South Hebron Hills | | Operation Dove -
PRESS RELEASE
"At Tuwani - In the afternoon of October 1, the Israeli military escort left ten Palestinian children from Tuba and Magayir Al-Abeed alone on their way back from school.Every day the escort accompanies to school the children on the road that passes between the settlement of Ma`on and the outpost of Havat Ma`on.After school the children had to wait near the Israeli outpost of Havat Ma`on (Hill 833) for over 1 hour and 40 minutes, but the army did not arrive. Therefore, the children start to walk through a longer way (more than one hour instead of 20 minutes) accompanied by some internationals. This path is dangerous because it runs beside the outpost and along this way the children were repeatedly attacked and chased by the settlers. Operation Dove volunteers and Israeli associations called several times the Israeli army; since the first call the army officer kept declaring that the escort was on its way." ca | 4/10/2013 |

SodaStream: the settler-run shop dividing Brighton | | The Guardian - For over a year, the EcoStream store has been a center of
controversy in Brighton, England. The shop prides itself on dispensing
"ethically sourced food, drink and cleaning products" - but it belongs
to SodaStream, an Israeli company based at the West Bank settlment of
Mishor Adumim. Demonstrtators picketing the shop assert that taking part
in military occupation and violation of International Law are far from
ethical practices. Counter-demonstators give the standard counter-argument of settlement-based industries, i.e. that they provide jobs to
Palestinians. Which is factually true - econmic conditions under the
occupation do indeed force a considerable number of Palestinians to work
at the settlement. In any case, the controversial Brighton shop does not
seem to be doing well. ak
