Palestinian house in Hebron and brought with them digging equipment,

in Islam as the Ibrahimi Mosque and in Judaism as the Cave of the
Machpela. As in previous such cases, the settlers claim to have bought
the house while Palestinians hotly deny it and have appealed for the
settlers` removal. ak | 5/11/2013 |

Land expropriation in the South Hebron Hills | | Nina Castro - AIC - "The size of the outposts increase in subtle ways, with, for example, the planting of a few trees, followed by preventing the Palestinian landowners’ access to the area, and the eventual takeover of the land after a few years. Another method is the construction of a small storage space that slowly transforms into a residency. One of the most common methods for land expropriation however, is violence […] Settlements and outposts are not the only reason of the expropriation of land. In 1980s the Israeli authorities declared most of the area of Masafer Yatta […] a closed military zone, so called `Firing Zone 918`, which placed 14 Palestinian communities under threat of eviction" | 19/11/2013 |
