Soldiers invade Hebron; two residents arrested

Israeli soldiers arrested two Palestinian residents in the West Bank city of Hebron, and the nearby village of Al Thahiriyya, after invading these locations an conducting military searches, a Palestinian security source reported.
The Hebron office of the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that soldiers arrested residents Sameer Mohammad Al Jabareen, 27, from Al Thahiryya village, and resident Ismail Omar Bader, 33, from Hebron.

The father of Bader said that soldiers, supported by armored vehicles, invaded the city, broke into a Car Gallery, in Al Bassa area, and arrested his son who works there.

Several homes were searched in Al Thahiriyya after the army invaded it; dozens of residents were detained and interrogated for several hours.

The soldiers closed the main entrance of Bad Al Khan areas in the Old City of Hebron, and conducted military searches.

A source at Hebron Construction Committee in the Old City, reported that soldiers closed an areas which links between Souq Al Laban area, and the neighborhoods of Bab Al Khan, and Bani Dar; the residents were barred from entering or leaving the two areas.

Soliers closed all roads leading to Bab Al Sahla, Bab Al Khan and the main road which leads to the Ibrahimi Mosque.

Imad Hamdan, acting director of the Hebron Construction Committee said that these procedures are part of continues Israeli attempts, carried over the last six moths, in order to install six gates at the entrances of the Old City; the gates are electronic and includes search machines.

Hamdan added that the committee files several appeals to the Israeli High Court regarding the repeated closures of the Old City.

One resident killed, one injured, in Gaza shelling

Israeli soldiers shelled with heavy artillery several areas in Tal Al Zaatar neighborhood, east of the Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern part of t
he Gaza Strip; one resident was killed, while another resident was moderate injured.
Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the killed resident as Ibrahim Ahmad Al Nana, 21 years old.

Dr. Hassanen added that Al Nana died of his wounds while he was being transferred to the Kamal Adwan hospital, in Beit Lahia.

Also, resident Basil Khdeir, 19, was injured by a shell fragmentation in his left shoulder.

A Palestinian security source in the Gaza reported that Israeli soldiers based at the northern borders of the Gaza Strip, fired several tank and artillery shells at the areas of Al Atatra, Al Salateen, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun, eastern graveyard, and Abu Safiyya.

The source stated that the P.A is concerned that the army will escalate its military attacks, and conduct a wide-scaled military invasion in the Gaza Strip, especially after five Israeli soldiers were injured after a shell exploded in their base, earlier on Thursday.

Three resistance fighters assasinated by Israeli forces

Thursday morning Israeli soldiers assassinated three resistance fighters in the West Bank city of Nablus.

The assassinated fighters were identified as Bashar Hanani, leader of Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Musaed Anas Al Sheikh, and Ahmad Al Jayyousi; both are members of the Al Aqsa Brigades, the military wing of Fateh.

Army shelled Beit Hanoun

Israeli artillery resumed its shelling of Beit Hanoun northern part of the Gaza Strip, the Maan News Agency reported.

The shells landed and detonated in open areas close to Beit Hanoun.

An Israeli military source said that the shelling came in response to homemade shells which were fired at Israeli targets.

According to the source, one Qassam homemade shell landed south of the Israeli city of Ashkelon, no injuries were reported.

Army invaded Allar and Qeffin; 4 people were arrested

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the West Bank villages of Allar and Qaffin north of Tulkarem and arrested four residents, the Palestinian Wafa News Agency reported.

Israeli armored vehicles invaded the two villages, searched a number of houses and arrested Iyad Ma`ruf Taqatqa, 31, Yaser Fathi Tu`ma, 23, Salaam Mufeed Sharar,17, and Muntaser Nawwaf Balan,18, and took them all to unknown destination.

Several residents were arrested recently by the army, in the two villages, after invading them.

One resident arrested south of Bethlehem

Israeli army invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the West Bank village of Ertas. south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and arrested one resident.

Local sources reported that troops invaded the village from its main entrances, and deployed in Wadi Shaheen neighborhood south of the village, before breaking into the house of Ismael Ahmad Saaad, 32, and forcing the residents.

Soldiers searched the house of Sa`ad prior to arresting him, damage was reported.

Soldiers invade Qataia, near Jenin

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, Qabatia town, near the West Bank city of Jenin, broke into a home and used it as a monitoring tower.

A Local source in the town reported that soldiers broke into the home of Mihbah Nazzal, searched it, and topped it using it as a monitoring tower.

Soldiers used the home as a military posts after forcing the family in one room; snipers were seen taking positions on top of the attacked home.
