Army invades Amateen, dozens injured

Thursday morning, soldiers invaded the village of Amateen, near the West Bank city of Qalqilia, and started to bulldoze farmlands in order to construct the wall which is planned to surround huge settlement blocs in the area.
The wall will surround the settlements of Qadumim, Emanuel, Qarneh Shamron and Jenat Hasharon, in addition to several settlements in the area.
Hundreds of residents clashed with the soldiers while uprooting their orchards; soldiers fired rounds of live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets and gas bombs at the residents.
A medical source at the Emergency Hospital, in Qalqilia reported that dozens of residents suffocated after inhaling gas fired by the army, other were injured by live rounds and rubber-coated bullets.
Among the wounded residents, the following names were reported, Ali Suwwan, Fadi Suwwan, Mahmoud Zaki Mahmoud, Amir Fuad Suwwan, Lu’ay Birry, and Wajeeh Ghanim.
The Wife of Ali Suwwan said that soldiers attacked the residents while they were present at their fields, attempting to stop the military bulldozers before uprooting their orchards.

Farmers wounded by army fire near Qalqilia

Earlier in the morning brfore the army invaded the village(Thursday) several Palestinian farmers from Amateen village near Qalqilia were wounded by Israeli troops blocking them from their land as bulldozers uprooted their trees.
The farmers from the village of Amateen, east of the West Bank city of Qalqilia, had rushed to their lands when alerted that Israeli bulldozers were uprooting trees there.
Three residents were hit by rubber-coated metal bullets, and at least five others were treated by the Red Crescent Society for gas inhalation.
Local sources said Israeli army bulldozers have uprooted around 1,000 olive trees in the past two days.

Father, his son arrested in Tammoun

The Israeli army arrested today a Palestinian and his son near Tamon village in southern part of the West Bank.
According to an eye wetness, Israeli army invaded Tamon village and searched houses in the area and arrested Jammal Bani odah and his son Souleman when they were grassing there ships; soldiers remained in the village.

Resident arrested in Hebron

Israeli soldiers invaded on Thursday the village of Yatta, near the West Bank city of Hebron, conducted military searches of homes and arrested one resident.
A local source in the village reported that soldiers, supported by armored vehicles, invaded that village after surrounding it, and arrested Mohammad Khalil Hreizat, 21.
The source said that soldiers broke into the homes of Khalil abu Eid, Issa Rashid, Ibrahim abu Eid, Ahmad Nassar, Mohammad Khalil, and several other homes.
Also, soldiers closed the center of the village for three hours and broke into homes and stores, damage reported.

Soldiers invaded Nablus

Thursday at noon, Israeli soldiers invaded the West Bank city of Nablus and broke into two institutions in a building in the center of the city.
The WAFA news agency reported that soldiers conducted military searches, and used the building as a monitoring tower and military post.

Army invades village near Tubas

Thursday morning, Israeli soldiers invaded an area adjacent to Wadi al-Maleh, near the West Bank city of Tubas.
The WAFA news agency reported that soldiers broke into dozens of homes, and conducted military searches causing damage, no arrests.
Also, soldiers used the home of abdul-Rahman Khalil as a military post and monitoring tower.

12 Palestinians, one peace activist injured in Aida refugee camp

Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded Aida Refugee camp to the west of Bethlehem.
12 Palestinians, most of them children under 14 years old, and one international peace activist, were injured after the army fired at a protest against the Wall being built adjacent to the camp.
Since Israel began the construction of the wall in the Bethlehem area, the army has invaded the camp on an almost daily basis.

Child, resident injured in Kahn Younis

Wednesday at night, Israeli soldiers based at military camps surround Morag settlement, in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, fired at dozens of homes in Qeizan al-Najjar area south of the city, one child and a one resident were injured.
Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the emergency unit at the ministry of health, reported that Samer Kallab, 23, was injured in his chest, while he was at home in Qeizan al-Najjar area, in Khan Younis.
Kallab was admitted to surgery in the Gaza-European hospital in the city.
Also, a 9-year-old child identified as Bara’ Khader, was injured in his shoulder, and transferred to Nasser hospital in Khan Younis.

Palestinian detainee deported to Jordan

The Jenin office of the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that Mohand Khaled Abu Moeis was deported to Jordan after serving 33 months in Israeli administrative detention centers.
The detainee was deported after submitting an appeal for release in order to donate his kidney to his sick brother; Israeli Prison Authorities rejected the appeal and deported him to Jordan.

Palestinian Intelligence officer killed in Gaza

A Palestinian medical source in Gaza reported that Abdullah al-Loh, 40, was found killed in a street in Gaza city. Marks of severe torture were apparent on his body.
The body of al-Loh, a 40-year-old Palestinian intelligence officer, was found in al-Nafaq Street, east of Gaza city.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian security source reported that al-Loh was abducted Tuesday, in front of Dar al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.
So far, the identity of the assailants and the motives behind the murder are still unknown.

Soldiers occupy two homes near Hebron

Israeli soldiers invade the village of al-Shiokh, north east the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and occupied two homes, using them as military posts.
A local source in the village reported that soldiers broke into the homes of Mousa Mohammad al-Halayta, and Mousa al-Haddad, at the southern entrance of the village, and used them as military posts and monitoring towers.
Also, soldiers detained and interrogated dozens of residents for several hours.

Five arrested, two injured south of Hebron

Wednesday afternoon, five residents were arrested, two injured, after the Israeli army attacked a peaceful procession against the Separation Wall in the village of Mnezel, south of the West Bank city of Hebron.
Dozens of residents protested against annexing their lands in order to construct the Wall in the area.
The army deployed dozens of soldiers and border policemen, and attacked the residents who chanted slogans against the wall and land grab policies used by the Israeli army.
Soldiers attacked the residents as they approached a construction site, severely punched and clubbed them; two residents were injured, and five others were arrested.
A local reporter and cameraman identified as Abdul-Hafith al-Hashlamon, and Azmi al-Shiokhy, secretary general of the Popular front for the Liberation of Palestine were among five detained residents.

Islamic Jihad Fighter killed, another injured in the Gaza Strip

Al-Quds martyrs’ brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for firing at military posts near Morag settlement in the Gaza Strip, and added that the fighter who was killed in the attack is one of its members.
The fighter, identified as Ahmad Shihab, 20, was killed after exchanging fire with the army near the settlement, another fighter was injured while a third fighter managed to escape unharmed.
According to Israeli military sources, soldiers spotted the armed group and fired at them.
The group intended to fire homemade shells at the settlement when they were spotted by the army, a Palestinian source reported.
The brigades said that the attack was carried out in retaliation to the continuous military operations against resistance fighters, and the massive arrests carried out in the Palestinian territories.
