Occupation magazine - Life under occupation Home page  back Print  Send To friend “Under a military order, the lands are now state property.” by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Monday July 12, 2010 Original title: Israel To Expropriate 30 Dunams Near Hebron The Israeli Authorities decided to illegally expropriate 30 Dunams of Palestinian lands that belong to villagers of Beit Ola, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron. Local farmers said that the army did not even hand them the military orders, but instead placed the documents on the grounds of the lands in question. The orders states that “under a military order, the lands are now state property”, and that the residents have 45 days to file appeals against the decision. The confiscated lands are located in the areas of Abu Haltam, Um al-Khanazeer, and Wad al-Jalamoun. It is worth mentioning that the army already grabbed 1,000 Dunams from the village in order to construct the annexation wall.
