Please join us at the AICafe on Saturday 26 November at 8.00 p.m. for an open discussion on Israeli Perspectives on Current Political Developments with renowned Israeli journalist and author Amira Hass. Based in the West Bank and previously the Gaza Strip, Amira Hass writes regularly about Palestinian affairs for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, representing one of the few consistently critical voices within Israeli society against the Israeli occupation. At the explicit request of Hass, she will make a brief presentation and then engage with the audience in an extensive exchange of opinions and question and answer session. Transportation will be available from Jerusalem (and back) for Israeli and, space permitting, international activists. To reserve transportation, please call 02 6241159 by Thursday at 6pm. The Alternative Information Center (AIC) is a joint Palestinian-Israeli activist organization engaged in dissemination of information, political advocacy and grassroots activism. The AICafè is a political and cultural café open on Tuesday and Saturday night from 7pm until 10pm. It is located in the Alternative Information Center in Beit Sahour, close to Suq Sha’ab (follow the sign to Jadal Center ). We have a small library with novels, political books and magazines. We also have a number of films in DVD copies and AIC publications which critically analyze both the Palestinian and Israeli societies as well as the conflict itself.
