12 activists have been arrested in the West Bank village of al-Walaja, on Wednesday, protesting the construction of the annexation wall.
The group, comprised of Palestinians, Israelis and internationals, were arrested following fourty minutes of protest; an action that prevented the construction from continuing.

The Palestinian Popular Struggle Coordination Committee (www.popularstruggle.org/) released photos of the action using their twitter account, claiming that the Israeli military used pepper spray during the arrest.

The proposed route of the wall annexes land owned by the villagers of al-Walaja, annexing it to the settlements of Gilo and Har Gilo, and the location of the village in the seam zone has led to inability to secure building permits by Palestinians. This has led to house demolition.
