Al-Arakib, Sun Sep 26: Solidarity and Reconstruction Visit
Sheikh Syakh Al-Touri and the residents of Al-Arakib invite you for this special all-day event.

Come show your solidarity with the residents of Al-Arakib who are determined to rebuild their villages again and again even as the authorities destroy it. Similar destruction is taking place elsewhere in the Negev. On Sep. 21 Awajan, a village near Laqia was destroyed.

Schedule

10-2 Building a children`s playground.
2-3 Rest and socializing
3-4 Decorating the playground and inaugurating it with children`s activities
4-5 A concluding Symposium

Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Transportation

For the morning work party, carpool only. If you drive, the village is on Highway 40, 2 km south of Lehavim Junction. Heading southbound, note a tall cellular antenna and turn off about 600m afterwards onto a dirt road. After 300m more, turn left towards the Al-Touri family cemetary.

If you arrive in the area independently and not sure how to get there, there will be a rendevouz at 2:45 PM, at the Lehavim Junction bus station heading southbound on Highway 40.

Donations in kind for the playground, for children`s toys and for work tools, will be gratefully accepted.
