no to the annexation and suffocaton wall
yotam wolfe -
Call for action
Oct. 15, 2010

Background: in last April buldovers have appeared on the village-placated between Jerusalem and Beit Jala- lands and started in the construction of the separation barrier by the houses, encircling the village leaving only an exit by tunnel to Beit Jalla and annexing mot of it`s agricultural lands.

the villagers are refugees and on their original village sits today the jewish village Aminadav.since 1967 the village has been subject to many forms of israeli oppression; house demolitions, settlements built on it`s lands and villagers arrested in their own house for illegal residency and now the wall threatens to strangle the village and make them two-time refugees. The claim that the wall is a security one was refuted when the person that was in charge with drawing the route- retired colonel Dani Tirza - was hired by the Givat Yael

company that is planning to build a 14,000 housing units settlement around the village.on the 25.7 the was a court discussion and the state got 45 days the explain the route, since then the work rate has doubled and there is a fear that israel will complete the wall and establish facts that will reduce the chance of a ruling in favor of the village.

now above all popular resistance is needed with a clear voice saying:

no to the anxation and suffocaton wall

yes to stop the opression of al-walaja
