Please help Dalal Rusrus - a three-and-a-half-year old Palestinian girl from Beit Umar - get treatment
From: Gershom Gorenberg
Subject: Please help Dalal Rusrus

Dear friends,
I`d like to ask for your help.

Dalal Rusrus is a three-and-a-half-year old Palestinian girl from Beit Umar in the West Bank. She suffers from brain damage and severe developmental delay, and is in urgent need of care to prevent further deterioration of her condition. Alyn Hospital - the only facility in the Middle East providing rehabilitative pediatric care - is eager to treat her. Israeli human rights groups have lent a hand by helping her and her mother permits to enter Jerusalem.

You can read my original article on Dalal here http://www.prospect.org/cs/articles?article=crossing_borders_10

and this week`s update here http://southjerusalem.com/2010/12/saving-dalal/

However, the initial hospitalization could cost 20,000 shekels ($5,500), and further treatment will require more funds. These are amounts beyond her family`s imagination.

The Tzedaka Fund of Kehillat Yedidya is proud to be available as a conduit for funds for Dalal`s medicaltreatment. Checks should be made out to Kehillat Yedidya. On the back, please write: Kupat Tzedaka - Dalal Project. Mail contributions to: Gershom Gorenberg, POB 10245, Jerusalem, 91102. Please write `Attn: Project Dalal` on the envelop as well. We`ll be trying to process all the checks at once, and the congregation will issue receipts at that time.

Any funds collected over the amount needed for Dalal`s immediate treatment will go toward her continued treatment and medical equipment she will require. Please pass this request on to anyone else who might be willing to help. We can also handle contributions in dollars (though they won`t be tax-deductible in the U.S.)

Whoever sustains one life, it is as if he sustained an entire world. (Mishna Sanhedrin 4:5). Please help sustain Dalal.
