Olive oil produced by needy Palestinian families
The dire economic situation throughout the West Bank severely impacts the Palestinian population and its quality of life. The barriers and checkpoints between the Palestinian villages and towns exacerbate these difficulties and seriously diminish people`s ability to move around, receive health and medical care, study in the university and access employment. The weaker sectors in Palestinian society are the most seriously impacted, among them poverty-stricken farmers whose livelihood has been significantly damaged as the Occupation confiscates their lands and the Jewish settlers systematically uproot their olive trees.
Abed, a Palestinian peace and woman`s-rights activist, organizes and coordinates deliveries of olive oil produced by needy Palestinian families, at the price of 55 NIS per liter of cold pressed oil and 45 for normal. He can be reached at 0546179703
